The dress code for the conference is business attire, if you are attending the dinner it is smart business attire.
There is WiFi access throughout the venue. You will need to connect to ‘ConferenceGuest’ network, you will need to enter you name and email address to register. Please ensure the email address you use to register is accessible on the device you are wishing to connect. Once you have confirmed you email address and registration you will be able to access the WiFi all day.
We operate a no-smoking policy in all campus buildings. The smoking area is on the left-hand side of the Conference building.
Cloak Racks and Left Luggage
Cloak racks will be available for delegates by the reception and there is a left luggage store within the Conference Centre.
Filming and Photography
CW photographers and film crews will be present throughout the Conference and footage and photos maybe used by CW in future marketing. If you do not wish to be filmed/photographer, please make them aware.
CW recognises that networking is always high on any conference programme. To enable you to meet with as many of their fellow delegates as possible everyone has been registered with Meeting Mojo. If you have not received this please contact Laura Farthing. On the day if you have signed up for a meeting via Meeting Mojo please make you way to the James Watson Pavilion at the assigned time.
Travelling to the Venue
If you are planning to drive to the venue, please use the parking permit and display this within your vehicle.
From the South:
Leave the M11 at junction 9 (signed A11 Newmarket) and take the first exit signed A1301 towards Cambridge. From the roundabout take the first left (about 800 m). At the next small roundabout follow the signpost left for the ‘Genome Campus’.
From the North:
Leave the M11 at junction 10 (note that M11 junction 9 is restricted and only accessible from the South). Turn left at the roundabout and straight over the next roundabout. Travel a mile or so on the A505 in the direction of Saffron Walden. At the next roundabout take the third exit (signed A1301 towards Saffron Walden). Pass two turnings to Hinxton village (these go to the village only), and take a right, at the next roundabout, signposted on to the Genome Campus.
Whittlesford Parkway, Great Chesterford and Audley End are the closest railway stations to the Campus and these are all on the Cambridge-London Liverpool Street line.
(Please note that Whittlesford and Great Chesterford stations do not have a taxi rank or telephone: use either Cambridge or Audley End stations if a taxi has not been pre-booked.)
The journey time from London is approximately one hour.
Cambridge is the closest railway hub, it is on both the London King’s Cross and the London Liverpool Street line, and also serves trains coming from the north.
