NFC and RFID technology allow devices such as mobile phones and readers to talk to each other and to low-cost, battery-free, tags, within a range of a few centimetres. The technology is widely used, in retail, manufacturing, libraries, and is starting to become pervasive in non-contact payment/ticketing - for example Transport for London's Oyster system.
Attend this event to find out how and when NFC will come to mobile, and to understand some exciting new applications of NFC and RFID in areas as diverse as healthcare, security and entertainment.
