This event will offer delegates the opportunity not only to discuss the crucial topics surrounding testing, but also the added privilege of an exclusive tour around the cutting edge facilities at the world-leading National Physical Laboratory, a tour not normally available to the public.
The aim of this event is to discuss examples of where technology convergence is causing testing headaches. GSM, WCDMA (HSPA), LTE, DVB-H, FM, Bluetooth, UWB, GPS and WiFi all have their individual challenges. However such challenges tend to multiply exponentially as different standards and radios are required to co-exist in modern mobile devices.
Our host for the event is one of the world’s leading centres for test and measurement expertise - The National Physical Laboratory (NPL). NPL was established in 1900 and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology.
The event will be held at NPL‘s state-of-the-art facility in Teddington, Middlesex. The day will start at 11.00 am with an exclusive guided tour of the facilities and networking over an extended lunch. Please click here to view tour details. Delegates will see first-hand how NPL maintain the standards for test traceability. In the afternoon attendees will hear from speakers from NPL‘s wireless communications research group and industries who face the challenge in designing devices and components where multiple standards and radios are required to co-exist.
Confirmed speakers include:
• Prof. Brian Collins - Chief Applications Engineer, Antenova
• Dr.Ir. Leo Poll - Business Development Manager, Miplaza
• Dr. David Humphreys - Principal Research Scientist, NPL
