Join us for this exclusive half day, jointly delivered by Innovate UK and CW Legal SIG Champion organisation - Taylor Wessing will focus on the European Commission’s findings and legal dynamics and challenges of automated data collection and privacy for business innovation in the internet of things.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is on the threshold of integration into the lives of European citizens. The viability of many projects in the IoT still remains to be confirmed but “smart things” are being made available which monitor and communicate with our homes, cars, work environment and physical activities. The IoT thus hold significant prospects of growth for a great number of innovating and creative EU companies, whether big or small, which operate on these markets.
Our keynote speaker Korolyn Rouhani-Arani of Taylor Wessing, will briefly summarise the European Commissions' findings from Article 29 Working Party regarding the Internet of Things (the "IoT"). She will outline the industry's reactions to the paper but more broadly to the IoT as well as focus on opportunities for the industry, particularly, opportunities for traditional telecoms providers in the IoT space.
We are extremely grateful to Tracey Sheehan, Legal SIG Champion and Partner at Taylor Wessing for leading and hosting this event.
