You will join a talented team based in our offices in the Cambridge area, working in a friendly but fast paced and responsive environment in an established company with a very strong track record of delivery.

THE ROLE

Due to strong company growth, the management team requires administrative support to maintain their efficiency. The Office Administrator will report to the CEO, providing support to the CEO (as Personal Assistant) and to the wider management team. The role will also involve providing occasional support to members of the sales team and the project management team.

The role is based in Great Chesterford, a few miles south of Cambridge, close to the M11/A11 junction.

TYPE OF WORK

As noted above, we anticipate that the role will develop over time, but initially your responsibilities will include:

  • Ordering items required for business operations.
  • Preparing letters, emails and other documents on behalf of the CEO and management team.
  • Dealing with incoming correspondence, ensuring it is handled professionally, efficiently and effectively.
  • Carrying out administrative duties for the CEO and management team as required, including printing, photocopying, archiving, typing correspondence and diary management.
  • Undertaking general office administration duties as necessary, such as travel and hotel bookings.
  • Assisting the sales and project management team with over flow work as required.


REQUIREMENTS

For this role you will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including Maths & English at A or B or equivalent.

You will be self-motivated and have an eye for detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and spoken), with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels is essential. You will have the ability to handle confidential issues with discretion and in a courteous, efficient and effective manner, maintaining a professional approach at all times.

You will be able to work under pressure if necessary and be highly organised with the ability to prioritise your own workload to deliver objectives and targets on time. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Previous experience in an Engineering or Consultancy company is highly desirable.
