Senior Engineer Algorithms and Signal

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly motivated and experienced GNSS signal processing team. We are a mid-sized international team with members in Switzerland, UK and Finland and are responsible for the fundamental algorithms to measure and demodulate the GNSS RF signals by using dedicated hardware blocks. Our work is used in a variety of different products ranging from sports watches to advanced automotive applications.

Position:

In order to feel at home with us you will have very good knowledge of digital signal processing in general, in particular you are familiar with statistical signal processing, decision and estimation theories and you bring the necessary mathematical background to analyse problems and develop new solutions.  You have already demonstrated your abilities in industry for some years.  Specific knowledge of GNSS signal processing is a plus, but is not essential.  Some team members for example have their roots in communication engineering.

Our engineers are often involved in the complete development cycle from initial analysis and idea development to implementation in the final product, In order to be successful you like to see the bigger picture and have an overview of the complete system ranging from analog and digital hardare to navigation algorithms; you are not afraid of taking a feature all the way into the final product, sorting out all issues along the way.  In order to do this successfully, you are expected to implement and optimise the developed algorithms hands-on directly on the embedded ARM processor using C as a programming language and GIT as a version control tool.

As a senior engineer you will have the chance to bring your ideas to the table and influence technology roadmaps, While this position does not involve line management you are expected to use your knowledge and drive to assist others and take leadership as technical project manager.

You will use your skills on a daily basis to align with your colleagues on site or in another country. You should be willing to travel occasionally in Europe.  If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field of study
  • Experienced in:
  • Signal processing and the relevant mathematical concepts
  • Embedded software development
  • C, C++
  • Git or other version control software
  • Eclipse, MS Visual Studio or similar development environment
  • Matlab or other simulation software
  • Experience with satellite navigation signal processing and satellite navigation technology in general is a plus
