Digital Catapult

Project Manager

The Project Manager manages delivery of a variety of Digital Catapult projects, working closely with colleagues across technology, R&D, commercial, marketing, community, finance and software development teams.

The Digital Catapult helps startups grow and scale faster and it helps larger corporates in their digital transformation. We do this through programmes of collaboration and open innovation, by bringing academic leading edge expertise into the mix combined with the organisations’ own business and technological expertise.

We work across a range of technology layers:

Connected: including the Internet of Things and applications of 5G

Immersive: including virtual and augmented reality

Data-driven: including trust in the use of personal data, blockchain and distributed ledger technologies and cybersecurity

Intelligent: including machine learning and artificial intelligence

The Project Manager manages delivery of a variety of Digital Catapult projects, working closely with colleagues across technology, R&D, commercial, marketing, community, finance and software development teams. Many of these projects will be as part of European consortia, funded as collaborative R&D activities through programmes such as Horizon2020, so experience in an R&D setting is essential. Other projects may be with commercial partners, or may be Catapult-funded developments. At times there will be software development projects to manage. Our philosophy is to use agile methodologies and focus on clear economic outcomes for the UK, keeping tight control of timelines and costs.
