Cambridge Wireless is proud to support Black Talent and Leadership in STEM (BTLS) by helping to raise awareness for this important programme, both across our membership and across the wider tech ecosystem, to help drive engagement and effect change.

Olu Orugboh, Programme Director, BTLS and Chair of the Board at Cambridge Wireless, said: "Although the industry is rapidly expanding and is one of the leading sectors that provide job opportunities across the UK, the skills available within its workforce are not keeping up with the pace of innovation.

"Black professionals are significantly underrepresented in this sector. Research has demonstrated that companies that prioritise diversity and inclusion in their hiring practices are more innovative, better equipped to respond to unexpected challenges, more productive, and able to understand and meet the needs of different customer bases.

"Our goal is to bridge the skills gap in STEM for Black talent. We aim to achieve this by bringing together a community of companies and partners who are dedicated to providing equity of opportunities for underserved Black communities. By doing so, we can help develop empowered Black leaders in STEM and foster a culture of innovation, productivity, and growth within organisations."
