Securing the edge: Cyber Physical Systems Security
Securing the edge: Cyber Physical Systems Security
Cyber physical systems (CPS) are typically distributed, complex and have safety impacts in the real world. Such systems have the potential to make life easier for their users and generate new revenue streams for their operators. However, the rise of cyber physical systems and IoT devices in general poses a threat to the safety, security, and privacy of the public. To compound the issues around system complexity, CPS are characterised by low compute power at the edge and complex supply chains. In this event we will explore the techniques needed to secure the CPS of the future, whether it be for smart cities and infrastructure, or IoT jet engines.
