Computer Laboratory University of Cambridge

About Computer Laboratory

The Department of Computer Science and Technology (known as the Computer Laboratory) is an academic department within the University of Cambridge that encompasses Computer Science, along with many aspects of Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Professor Ann Copestake is the Head of Department. The Department undertakes research in a broad range of subjects. It has an open and collaborative culture, supporting revolutionary fundamental computer science research, strong cross-cutting collaborations internally and externally, and ideas which transform computing outside the University. In the Department we group our research under 10 themes, or research specialisms. However, as much of our work is interdisciplinary, many of our research projects will overlap more than one research theme. The themes address a broad spread of Computer Science from theory, systems and networking, computer architecture through to machine learning and AI. Please check our web site for more detailed information and contact details.
