NARRATIVE FOR CWIC 2020
Wireless connectivity has become a foundation for the world economy. While the industry evolves its deployment strategies to maximise adoption across consumer and industrial sectors, government policies are working to secure its contribution to socioeconomics and environmental sustainability.
Beyond the current take-make-waste extractive industrial model, a circular economy aims to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits. CWIC 2021 considered the value of the wireless network within digital and circular economies, exploring innovations and ideas that maximise wireless’ potential to improve the future, including:
- The delivery of progressive services across a variety of sectors
- Contribution to socioeconomic growth
- The reduction of wireless’ environmental impact
Are existing technologies, regulations and deployment models for connectivity delivering the level of service, value and sustainability required, or is a change in approach needed?
