About the event

What does it take to be a film stills photographer on one of the biggest film franchises in the world? How do you negotiate on-set etiquette and unwritten rules of a film set. Find out in this fascinating discussion chaired by cinematographer David Scott, as Nicola Dove reveals what inspired her to take on a role that she describes as part photographer, part ninja and part psychologist.

Nicola Dove is a photographer specialising in film stills photography. She has worked on numerous feature films including the latest Bond film No Time to Die. Her background is in documentary and portrait photography.  She has travelled the world photographing not just for feature films such Artemis Fowl and Murder on The Orient Express,  working with directors such as Kenneth Branagh, Sally Potter, Roger Michell, Armando Iannuci and Lone Sherfig and capturing actors such as Daniel Craig, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel Weisz, Bill Nighy, Kirsten Dunst and  Judi Dench. But also on more reflective projects such as Observance and Façade.   After living in the UK for almost 20 years she is now based in New Zealand where she lives in Aukland with her husband and 2 children.
