To maintain our leading position and build upon our existing customer base, we have an immediate need for a Sponsorship Sales Manager.

Requirements as Sponsorship Sales Manager

  • Degree educated with a passion for sales
  • Demonstrable experience of B2B sales experience (digital media, technology, or similar)
  • A record of sales achievement within a B2B environment
  • Strong interest in technologies and current affairs
  • Intelligent and articulate
  • Structured approach with solid time management
  • Enthusiastic approach and eagerness to learn and understand diverse markets
  • Commercial and result-driven mindset
  • Open and eager to learn
  • A mature outlook and strong commercial awareness
  • Experienced in building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective sponsors
  • Confident and experienced in prospecting new sponsors through phone, email, and other channels
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging audiences from managers to C-level executives, across both business and technology domains.
  • Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative environments.
  • You’ll be well-organised, flexible, and have strong attention to detail
  • Any experience in wireless/digital/quantum/AI tech industry is an added bonus but not essential

Responsibilities as Senior Sponsorship Manager

1. Deliver on sales targets and expand our reach

  • Taking responsibility for the full 360 sales cycle, generating revenue across the whole event portfolio through new business opportunities as well as account management
  • Strategic client targeting, in-depth research, relationship-building with decision-makers, and managing the entire sales cycle
  • Deliver sales orders in line with, or above, quarterly targets set by the business
  • Develop a live, accurate and detailed pipeline of UK opportunities within our identified sectors on CRM
  • Build, nurture and foster relationships with operational, managerial and executive level personnel, ensuring key stakeholders are identified to ensure repeat sponsorships
  • Experience and confidence in negotiating sponsorship packages to enable closure and repeat sponsorships
  • Performing key account management
  • Consistently and accurately forecasting your projects to a +90% level of accuracy
  • Update the CRM daily, leaving it 100% accurate at the end of each working day with all of your projects/opportunities
  • Reviewing, forecasting, and reporting
  • Keeping up with industry trends to contribute to the success of the events with innovative sales strategies

2. Engaging, personable and reliable. Adept at building relationships with key stakeholders

  • Devise and deliver amazing and engaging on-brand sales presentations to individuals and small groups
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring they are involved at the right time with your projects/opportunities
  • Understand the customers budget cycle in line with the CW conference sales cycle to be able to accurately forecast and confidently land your live projects/opportunities
  • Contribute your ideas, enthusiasm, and sales skills to the team to successful meet targets
  • Collaborating with marketing, production, and operations colleagues
  • Working with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure that overall business strategies are aligned

Sponsorship Sales Manager Rewards:

  • A base salary of 40-45k
