The Wireless Networks and Communications Centre (WNCC) at Brunel University conducts world-class research into wireless, broadcast and mobile networks, radio over fibre, cognitive radio, future internet and the application of communication networks for the media, energy and the environment, security, defence, manufacturing and medical sectors. Researchers have good and growing business links with leading communication and broadcast companies, many of which are household names. The WNCC is committed to forging strong, long-term collaborative links to meet the R&D needs of industry and contribute to the quality of life.
The Centre can draw upon wider expertise across the University for multidisciplinary projects, e.g., media communications systems. Researchers have state of the art facilities, including a green screen studio, 2D & 3D media capture, transmission and display equipment, and a DVB-T/H transmission system.
