Bonded 3G - high capacity bandwidth on the move

Anvil can bond the throughput of up to 6 data SIMs into a single high speed channel. For construction sites, rural businesses, disaster recovery and for event management, bonded 3G enables a powerful internet connection. In the last year bonded 3G has provided broadcast video coverage for the Olympic torch relay. Less glamorous, but just as important to our customers, it also provides connectivity solutions for highway and railway maintenance teams.

The managed service also provides peace of mind as the connectivity is maintained with any issues being alerted directly to Network Operations Centre where support engineers can quickly resolve the situation. We recommend using three separate network operator's SIMs in the bonding units to provide resilience and avoid any bottlenecks in any single carrier's network. Fixed IP SIMs are used to provide remote access for management and suppor. Private APNs and internet connections mean that none of the data traverses the public internet.

This provides a much more secure and robust internet connection with low latency (delay)for time sensitive applications - unlike satellite where the delay is a well known issue. Delay makes VoIP voice calls a bit painful over satellite connections whereas Anvil uses SIMs on the Three UK network for VoIP calls as they do not block VoIP and call quality is on a par with fixed line ADSL.
