Leading wireless companies line-up to sponsor 5th Future of Wireless International Conference on Internet of Things
This year’s Future of Wireless International Conference will explore the strategic questions and technical challenges posed by the ‘Internet of Things’ and try to distinguish the reality from hyperbole. The event takes place on 1 & 2 of July at The Møller Centre in Cambridge, where over 300 delegates from around the world will gain a unique insight into the augmented physical environment; explore the impact it will have on services, infrastructure and devices; and debate who will be the key players in a new connected age.Speakers include Ronan Dunne, CEO of O2/Telefonica UK; Prof Christopher Bishop, Distinguished Scientist at Microsoft Research; Warren East, CEO of ARM; Stuart Orr, Managing Director, Communications Industry, Accenture; Bill McFarland, Vice President, Technology for Qualcomm Atheros; Kevin Jou, CTO at MediaTek; and Rolph Meakin, Partner at PWC.
The 5th Future of Wireless International Conference will also offer practical workshops, facilitated track sessions and panel debates, alongside established plenary sessions and exhibition zones, including the S-Tech sponsored, Start-Up Zone – a hothouse for innovation that showcases the winners of Cambridge Wireless’ 2012 Discovering Start-Ups competition.
“Once again, we are delighted with the level of support from our partners and sponsors that reflects the quality of speakers and delegates from around the world and the focus on topical and strategic industry challenges,” said Dr Soraya Jones, CEO of Cambridge Wireless. “Now in its 5th year, the 2013 Future of Wireless International Conference has established its place as a key event in the wireless industry calendar.”
