7Layers’ new Laboratory in Silicon Valley is now approved as a CTIA Authorized Test Lab.

7Layers, a Bureau Veritas Company, is proud to announce that its Sunnyvale Laboratory has completed its ISO 17025 accreditation audit and it has received CATL (CTIA Authorized Test Lab) accreditation. These accreditations let the 7Layers Sunnyvale location commercially offer certification services for over the air (OTA) and converged device test plans for a variety of technology standards including LTE, W-CDMA, GSM, GPRS and W-LAN bands a, b, g and n. The Sunnyvale office’s CATL accreditation is one of the first to include the new CTIA OTA Test Plan 3.2.1. With a Sunnyvale based accredited laboratory, 7Layers extends its already global engineering center footprint to the heart of Silicon Valley.

“Our customers and partners are pleased with the extension of our wireless testing expertise and services to the new Sunnyvale laboratory,” said Fernando Rodríguez, COO of 7Layers, Inc. “We will be able to offer local testing to one of the technology hubs leading the push for ubiquitous connectivity.”

The new Sunnyvale laboratory features two newly installed anechoic chambers for OTA testing. The over 13,000 square foot facility includes four on-site customer rooms with all the privacy, security and comfort hallmarks of a 7Layers laboratory. It is equipped to perform testing services for manufacturers with devices needing to meet requirements set by the PTCRB, GCF and network operators. This location will serve Silicon Valley and other worldwide customers of 7Layers.
