Servitization will Boost Revenues for Business says Aston Business School and Cambridge Wireless
With over sixty years in pioneering research into contemporary business and management issues, Aston is well placed to host this half day event in the heart of Birmingham on 5th March 2014.
The event will engage delegates, challenging them to consider how they can create revenues from 'connected services' rather than just 'boxes shipped'.
Tim Baines, Professor of Operations Strategy of Aston Business School, who will be speaking at the event, says, “In order to provide advanced services and therefore benefit from the associated growth, organisations need to understand the nuances of 'servitizing' and the key changes they have to initiate in order to maximise the benefits.” Tim will show how the principles applied successfully within large organisations can also be applied to SMEs across a number of industries, specifically those manufacturing a product or creating value through software services.
Speakers include Martin Higson, Tram Operations Director from traditional engineering company Alstom Transport who will present on ‘Thinking like a Customer’: Paul Green, Marketing & Technical Director from Arkessa who will offer an insight from a technology provider; while UKCeB’s Executive Director, Steve Shepherd, will look at the MOD and Defence industry and present on ‘Business Driven Service Contracts – A Defence Perspective.’
Other presentations and interactive sessions include: ‘SaaS and Power-by-the Hour – Can These Principles Apply to your Business?’, ‘Changing Culture’, ‘Financial & Business Models’, ‘How to embed people into your customer’, ‘Do less, earn more’ and ‘I didn’t know you could do that…I didn’t know you needed it!’.
As with all CW events there will be ample networking opportunities and plentiful discussion.
