 The SmartOne® Peak Flow and FEV1 Meter helps patients to understand how their lung function changes throughout the week, during periods of ill health, change of medication or as they change weight and activity levels. It measures Peak Expiratory Flow rate (PEF) and Forced Expiratory Flow at 1 second (FEV1) using a non-invasive simple-to-use wireless monitoring technology. The use of a Peak Flow meter is especially useful if patients have Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Cystic Fibrosis (CF) or Bronchiectasis (NCFB). Peak flow values are often classified into three coloured zones using the traffic light system of measurement according to the American Lung Association: Green, Yellow and Red.
