Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a bright, motivated and skilled software engineer who has experience of managing a small team. The role is very hands on and experience of .NET Framework and C# is important. We need someone who enjoys being part of a team, doing whatever tasks are required to deliver high quality software products to our customers. We want a person who can communicate well with our customers, understand their requirements clearly, and translate those requirements into great software.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Leading and motivating a team of highly skilled software engineers
  • All aspects of the full software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and training
  • Creation of functional designs, specifications and costings to be presented internally or to the customer for approval
  • Programming to deliver high quality software applications
  • Rigorous testing, including regression testing
  • User documentation

You will be able to;

  • Demonstrable experience of leading and managing other engineers
  • Excellent communicator
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience of programming and systems design
  • Experience in Microsoft .NET Framework, C# *Good analytical and problem solving ability
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Attention to detail and a passion for producing high quality software
  • Experience of maintaining, extending and amending existing software as well as creating new applications
  • Prepared to be flexible and open-minded about all aspects of the job

This is an exciting time to join this growing organisation and for you to really make your mark leading and managing the team! The role is based in North Cambridge just off the A14. The salary for this role is circa £50-£60k depending on experience.
