Master Data Manager

As Master Data Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of an organization's master data.
You will be responsible for shaping the strategy and creating guidelines for data structure within the company, to ensure consistency in how information is stored, organized, and accessed. Your key goal is covering the creation of a single version of the truth for all key business entities.

You will be in the driver's seat and your interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and negotiate with senior stakeholders as well as with peers offer the key to successfully leading the projects. 

 
The role will be based in Cambourne, UK. 

 

Your Responsibilities  

  • Designing and implementing data management policies and procedures for the organization to ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal aspects, and security requirements. 

  • Developing and implementing processes for data governance such as data quality checks and data audits, to ensure that data is accurate by conducting audits and identifying trends that may indicate problems with data quality. 

  • Defining and developing a data management framework and rules for Core Master Data, including adhering to u-blox Information Security policies.  

  • Providing leadership in data management, data model design and data management practices. 

  • Reviewing data sources to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within an organization.  

  • Developing standards for storing and accessing data using tools such as relational databases and data warehouses. 

 
The initial focus for 2024 will be on the SAP transformation project where a proper data management design is key to success (covering master data such as accounts, suppliers, products, etc). 

 

Your Skills and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as computer science, information technology, data management or a related field. 

  • Proven track record of Data Modelling, Data Analysis, Data Governance 

  • Proven ability to interpret data and draw conclusions from it. 

  • Understand the data relevance related to businesses processes such as Quote-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, Product Lifecycle 

  • Fluent in English speaking and writing (German is a plus) 

  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro as work and collaboration tools are an asset. 

  • Work experience in related industry in an international environment
  •  SAP is a bonus point
