Microsoft Senior Systems Specialist

Summary

As a skilled Engineer specializing in Microsoft Systems, you'll join our multinational IT Team, playing a direct role in the development, integration, customization, and ongoing support of u-blox's Microsoft Services, Systems, and Infrastructures, both in the Cloud and On-premises. Your responsibilities will encompass improving and maintaining these systems, leveraging your expertise as a subject matter expert to guide the team towards fully implementing systems aligned with u-blox's specific business requirements.

Your ability to grasp concepts quickly, coupled with a proactive problem-solving approach, will thrive in our innovative and dynamic environment. Located in either Cambourne (UK).


Your Responsibilities

  • Further development of u-blox Microsoft related systems and technologies, designing, implementing, testing and documenting new solutions
  • Analyze and optimize performance of Microsoft solutions (systems analysis and health check)
  • Operations on Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, MS365 and other Microsoft On-premises and Cloud systems
  • Managing IT requests and incidents (new configurations, technical requests)
  • Ensuring security & compliance in cooperation with the respective team of experts
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level international support for the Microsoft services
  • Stay current with emerging technologies as they mature and improve the Maturity level through the organization
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation


Your Skills and Experience

  • Master degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience (5+ working years)
  • Certified on and/or deep expertise working with Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, especially Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory in medium or large companies (Global Admin experience is a plus)
  • Clear understanding of Windows Server Operating Systems and Services (Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, etc.)
  • Experience with Azure AD Connect, Directory synchronization, Conditional Access Policies, Active Directory Certificate Authorities, architecture of DNS, Active Directory
  • Strong proven experience in creation and troubleshooting of PowerShell scripts to support automation of complex tasks
  • Understanding of IT security and data protection norms
  • Fluent English communication skills (written, spoken)

  • Working experience with AWS
  • Deep knowledge with Microsoft Azure Information Protection
  • Working Knowledge of Network and Internet technologies: Email, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of deploying virtualized servers
  • Knowledge with Linux Operating Systems
  • Corresponding Microsoft certifications
  • Know-how on best monitoring and performance optimizations technics
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Logic App, EventGrid
